“My wife and I visited Long Island Shooting Range of Brookhaven today for a lesson with Gary and had a fantastic experience which far surpassed our expectations. We went to acquire new skills and knowledge and to gain experience with some aspects of shooting sports that were new to us.
Gary’s instruction was clear and detailed, and he showed great patience and encouragement. He was willing to answer all of our questions and to offer feedback on form and technique. We arrived having only very basic knowledge and left with a solid foundation on which to build our skill sets.
The range officers are friendly, approachable, helpful, and most importantly, safe. All instructions are communicated in an extremely clear manner, and proper protocols are always followed here without exception. Additionally, the range is well laid out and is maintained extremely well in an incredibly beautiful setting.
The office is also very well run. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. It was especially nice to visit a range which has a seating area where patrons can relax with a cup of coffee while waiting for their party to arrive. In contrast with other ranges we’ve visited, this location felt like a country club.
I highly recommend Long Island Shooting Range of Brookhaven, and I especially recommend taking lessons with Gary. His love of shooting sports is readily apparent, as is his desire to share his passion with anyone who is interested in learning.
